I made this for Leigh Ann.
It says "Home is Where The Dogs Are..."
This is my latest Everyday Display in our living room which is brown and blue. It says Home, Faith, Love and Family which are all important to me.

I've been crafty!
I saw this project over a year ago and finally got inspired to create my own. I found a chair with a broken seat, painted it and wove mens' neckties for the seat. I love the way it came out. I'm changing up the colors of my craft room to yellow and deep red.
Here's a close up of the ties.
I also updated the everyday display with this scrapbook layout...
Crafty = Happy!

My New Toy
This is an electronic cutter called Cricut Expression which can cut from 1/4" sizes up to 23.5". I was able to get it from ebay at a much more reasonable price. The bad part is that you have to buy cartridges to get more fonts and base graphics. The good part is that I accept gift cards to all major craft stores from all friends and relatives!
O.M.G. - I did NOT think I would LOVE this machine. Die cuts are just NOT my thing. Until now... The final cut products are much more detailed than the old die cutting systems and since scrapbook paper is 12 x 12, I became interested. You can also cut vinyl. I'm thinking cute little window graphics for the back of the Yukon...
I have just played with it for the first time and I made an AWESOME frame for my February Scrap Class. You'll have to wait for the completed layout pages to see it.
To quote Marissa: "I love the smell of a New Toy!"

It's all about the Girl ... the American Girl
Santa brought Marissa this American Girl doll. Marissa has named her Natalie because Natalie means "born on Christmas."
Aunt Sue gave Marissa the Bubble Tub. It's been a big hit. Thanks Aunt Sue!
During Winter Break Lou and Marissa made this Trundle Bed for Natalie. Check out the organization of the AG items ...Wish Marissa's room looked this organized!
Craft Note: The t-shirt with the cupcake was created by Marissa and I!

Marley & Me Wanna Be
Went to see Marley & Me. Knew the ending....Still cried AND cried AND cried. I love animals more than people. Don't know what that says about me. Here is our own Marley. Snowball has lived through another christmas season. She only ate/destroyed about 8 ornaments, 3 socks, 2 underwear, one handmade wreath (including paper, ribbon and glue), 3 projects Marissa made in school, and 1 stuffed animal. Pretty good for two week span...
If you want to see a list of what this monster has ate, go down to November 2007 - The Poop/Scoop on Snowball in my archived list... Thanks for looking.
Happy 2009
I vow to blog more this year. Right now I am sick (over 10 days - don't think it's a cold anymore). I plan on putting up a post as often as I can. Thanks to those friends who inspire me ...
